Straight scan off 8x10" darkroom print (so pardon the underexposure and color shift).

I saw the Ultron pics in your flickr, Chiif... really sharp! All taken with lucky film right? Seems like the Ultron is also generating quite a bit of interest in RFF too.

The dust & scratches comes from the negatives scanning. Usually dust in camera, lens will not show up so evidently and not in random places...

erm... dust in camera, that's a digital problem, not a film problem.

Just make sure you dust off your negs with an antistatic brush/cloth prior to scanning, saves you A LOT of trouble in photoshop. Trust me, I use anti static brush, gloves and cloth to handle my negs for scanning, just this alone gets rid of more than half of the dust.
