Haha.. At first I thought something wrong with my IIIG set. Just did my 3rd roll of films. I think the culprit is me. The 50 Elmar was likely not extended fully.

Anyway, the infinity seems right and photos are sharp compared to previous Oof look.

But the fling changed my mind. It is really a nice lens for travel. Sharpness (reason I don't like it) & resolution is quite scary for a "zoom" lens. Unlike MATE, it's a true zoom, can do in between settings!

But the fling changed my mind. It is a really a nice lens for travel. Sharpness (reason I don't like it) & resolution is quite scary for a "zoom" lens. Unlike MATE, it's a true zoom, can do in between settings!

gommy are you saying that you can set it to shoot between 16 and 18 .. ie 17mm ?

M9 test shot with 50 cron. 1/15, ISO 800. Shutter is sweet and auto WB is way better than M8.
