The M8 went with me on a trip to the deep jungle. It's a wilderness camp located 200 Kms from where I stay, right in the middle of the jungle.

Ultron 28 - a majestic single Tusker. 200 mts from our jeep.

Ultron 28 - landscape

Ultron 28 - treescape

Ultron 28 - came across this leaf illuminated by a single ray of light. a walk in the forest where we encountered a tiger (crossed us 50 mts ahead).

Nikkor 50 - wide open. daughter of one of the employees. They (hill tribals) make their living collecting algae from the tree bark (medicinal value), picking silk tree seeds, and farming.

Nice shots...:)

First two rolls of films on my new M6 Millennium edition. Noticed that the RF patch flares pretty badly under today's sun.

Hmm...can upgrade to MP viewfinder...

hey yeah...talking about that, does anyone do vf upgrades locally? anyone here know? I always wanted to upgrade my m6 vf to an mp vf but never ever got round to it, this thread just reminded me of my procrastination....

this place is indeed very nice... we might have to organise the next cs-rf outing there!! ;)

Not much pp.. just some leveling. Anyway, I would think that the ISO is different too but both wide open.

interesting, I would imagine many other things would come into play if we were to do an apples to apples comparison such as film processing time, chemicals, scanning, etc including matching levels, correct me if I am wrong, hookonclassic

note to self *try not to put my foot in my mouth*...

just got a roll developed...

Hi Dan, I am not sure...I tried the Canon 50 f0.95 on digital and film... the bokeh are different...too much variants, digital pp, dark room processing...still exploring...

Better send your M6 to Solms (Schmidt) for MP VF upgrade...rather "big operation"...:)

How much is the MP VF upgrade and how long does it take? Thx

Yep, I understand they need to take various measurements every time they touch a camera, which is why my M6 is in Solms since late last year.

oh no... I feel the immunity from my anti-m9-otics jab late last year fading fast...

:bsmilie: thanks cactus jack, although the camera doesn't "move" me as much as a good old mp/m6/m3, having said that, it is a fine piece of engineering, resistance is futile my friend, get one...get one.....:bsmilie:

Very nice Dan.
The M9 will not replace any of the film camera but you will still need to have one....at least that is what I'm telling myself:sweatsm:
