Testing the Zeiss 35 Biogon f2.0. Having mixed thoughts about this lens. Frankly it does not have the "Wow" factor.

Dave, the lens is great! Lovely shots, well controlled bokeh and a biogon! May I ask why you feel it lacks wow?
Not sure... Maybe I am used to old vintage lenses and modern lenses just do not wow me as much. Maybe the problem is the bokeh too well-controlled. Hahah...
When you're going to show us your other Fujinon lens pics? My Topcor is waiting for his new owner too.![]()
Dave I'm going through the numbers, once I get to know each lens then I'll move to next. Kinda figured out the 1.2 now. Next the f2. Last is the wides. Yeah I'll pick up the topcor this week if I can. Sorry for the incovenience bro. Bit busy these days. The 35 asph is gonna be similar isn't it? Go get yourself a real vintage like a elmar/summar then see how uncontrolled the bokeh can be!
No prob bro... Let me know. Would love to see the whole collection sample pics from you.
35 Cron asph should be similar but the lux is a different story. Think I am likely done with my 35mm. Still not my ideal frameline. 50s still better in terms of framing and DoF.

here you go, Fujinon 50 f2, shot wide open, check out bokeh behind
Wow, second son!
Actually, this was my very first Fujinon!
I went through three f2, conditions all about the same, so still kept my first copy.
Looking forward to my 4th, can only hope it's a good copy as the previous three.
