I had the same reaction!

But than later I walked around chinatown to look for him again so that I can shoot one shot at least ;)

he is too interesting as a character to say no to the camera

Think I saw him before too... the last time I saw him he got a wool scarf around his neck in SUNNY Singapore!!! Err... the pants a bit too flowery for an old guy. But I do applaude him for his guts. Good form!

Anyway I love the shadows...
I'm too looking for shadows to shoot recently (since I always work late).
Just curious are these from street lamps, sunset or sunrise?..they are quite long

Been following this thread for a while and Really like what i see (or feel) here. Now it's time for me to contribute.

Among the few things I have learn and like to remind myself:
  1. Learn to be more conscious about what's in the background. Especially right behind the subject or around the outer edges.
  2. Try to move subject away from the center box in the viewfinder. Being a newbie on RF I have the tendency to keep subject at the focal point in the middle.

Please do provide any constructive criticism that you have to help improve. Hope to be able to contribute more over time.

For taking off center shots. The AE lock on your Bessa should come in handy. Helps to get the correct exposure when taking off center shots.
