This shot was taken at Kopi Hill Cemetery on Halloween day last year.
M6 + CV 35 Colorskopar Tmax100

Was paying a visit after learning that the old cemetery will soon be removed in order to give way to some future road development. This cemetery is home to many wealthy deceased and also well known to joggers, nature lovers and residents of those nearby landed properties.
The hand was properly left there for some specific purposes during Halloween and i have decided to include part of the tomb in the background for that kind of feel.
Hope that i am not being disrespectful by posting this picture.

Here's a couple more from my first rolls through the S2+5cm 1.4.

I've a question. just to keep options open, is it possible to get the very smooth tones from film? if so, could you recommend your workflow/type of film you use?

Depends on your developing & scanning really.

Hainanese curry rice… who would know the difference, anyway?

6th February – Street photography is really a mindset. It’s dangerous to go into it with fear, because the very act of shooting a street photograph is really about an interaction between the photographer and the subject(s). Sneaky shooters honestly don’t work out too well for me, but most of the time I don’t go in too close either. Space is what I’d give my subjects, who in turn demonstrate (unknowingly) their interaction with the space around them, and with me.

View of Nice harbor from the Colline du Chateau, Nice, France.

7th February – The harbor in Nice as viewed from the Colline du Chateau. Interestingly, quite a number of guidebooks do not list the Chateau as a destination, though open source travel guides like Wikitravel do. While not exactly an attraction, the Colline du Chateau nonetheless provides an extremely beautiful bird’s eye view of Nice, both on the harbor side and on the city side. Definitely worth the climb up!

Ties that bind.

8th February – “We last met before I was pregnant!” That was long. And now there she was, fussing over her newborn son, updating me on the joys and trials of motherhood. How time flies, how we all grow old. This was the very first frame from the two rolls of Kodak Tri-X that I shot, and this naturally came out an instant favorite. I just had to share.
