Hi Jonmanjiro,

How does the Perar 28mm fare in your opinion?

Hi Blackmafia,

I like the Perar 28mm a lot. I think its an overall better lens than its older sibling, the Perar 35mm F3.5. Sharpness is very good over the entire frame. Colour rendition is pleasing. And of course its so tiny. I had trouble keeping my fingers out of the frame due to the small size. I got my first two rolls with it developed today and about 1 in 4 or 5 photos had my fingers in them, so I'll be more careful shooting with it in the future. All in all I thinks its a winner :)

At the riverside in Nice, France.

Street photography has always been a passion that I've held, and France presented me with lots of such opportunities. Fleeting moments captured are always memorable.

Jon, how would it compare against the CV 28/2?

The CV 28/2 is one lens I've never tried so I'm not really sure how the two would compare. Two stops is quite a difference though, and if you need the speed its an easy choice to make.

A journey called life.

Walking along the decommissioned KTM railway, Bukit Timah, Singapore.

5th February - Was clearing up my work while "enjoying" a cup of coffee at McDonald's when I eyed this family bonding over their snacks in front of me. And out of the blue, I started to wonder, and reflect, on the past few years that has passed me by. I grew comfortable - to my existence, to my routines, to what easily happened for me with minimal effort. I grew lazy. And with that revelation, I'm making a promise to myself - be more proactive, skip the procrastinations, set goals, set targets, achieve them. That's what life should be about, that's what this journey should be about.
