Yiming's 35mm FLE

For those with 35mm FLE . This lense is dam happening for wide open shooters !!!! So sharp and full of details . WOW !!!
vs my cheap 35mm lux

FLE solid... even made the shirt look cleaner! just kidding... :p

... vs my cheap 35mm lux

you can hardly call any of the "lux"s cheap... but it's all relative. both pics are pleasing, depending on what you're looking out for.

actually, i think it's just the handsome model, any lens also can... :bsmilie:

Merry christmas guys. :D

Here are some shots from my recent trip to Vietnam.
Very interesting and different, but if you're looking for a relaxing holiday - skip it - especially Hanoi.
It is overwhelmingly frenetic and everyone seems to always be rushing off to somewhere.

For this trip it's the usual Hexar with the humble VC 35/2.5 Color-Skopa.
Films used were a mixture of Provia, Velvia, Ekta and Fuji Pro 200.
I bought the Fuji Pro 200 in Hanoi, it cost about S$3 a roll. I'm glad I didn't bulk-buy it though.
I find it to be low-contrast, flat and far to grainy for ASA200.
It's also a major-pain to scan as it curls so badly that it goes into a roll.

_____

Sapa, Vietnam:

Scruffy kids, tourists and mountain ranges.

Little bundle of joy in one of the markets we visited.

Ethnic tribe woman

The girlfriend learning the ropes.

Aggressively touting their hand-dyed, hand-woven handicrafts.

Continued:

Granny working the stitches.

Our ethnic guide who speaks flawless English, from which she picked up entirely from tourists.

Lady in the market with flushed cheeks from the cold.

Fish and Shits

These mountain kids are tough as nails.

Stumbling along the mountain steps in search for her pants - might I add that it was freezing up there.

Another tough and scruffy little kid.

Toddler trying to keep warm in a plastic bag.

Ethic tribes, steep inclines and rice-terraces.

Toothy grin from one of the villagers.

Thank you for viewing and apologies for flooding this page, merry x'mas to one and all!

Nearer to the Lunar new year, it is getting more crazy over here. Ppl in the traffic are rushing off to somewhere, everyone looks worried, i don't understand...

In contrast, if you sit down on any street coffee shop, u won't understand what the ppl here doing for living... they all look relaxed and lazy.

Recent trip to Tasmania, trekked from Cradle Mt to Lake St Claire over 5 days.

Only brought CV28mm/f2 with M9.
