These shots were taken in 1980, when I was a very young man. The camera was a Canonet fixed lens RF, borrowed from an uncle. At that time, I did not know what a rangefinder was, just followed my uncle's instructions.. aperture, speed, blah blah blah...

Location : The then West Germany, where I spent a few years undergoing training.

Scanned and colour restored with V700, edited in Silver Efex.

Haha. You know, restoring all these old photos really brings back many memories, all the moments captured and how and when they were captured.

Hopefully this process will help to stave off any onset of dementia. Hahahaha

This one must be one of the very first RF shots that I took. The year was 1979, was learning German at Nanyang University, in preparation for my trip. Learning how to use the camera from my uncle... Look at the cars... man...

okok, I better stop posting these ancient photos!! :bsmilie:

I'll scan it at the highest resolution, you can zoom in read the number plate!!! My Datsun 100A is parked next to your mini! :sticktong

This is really cool, I walk pass that same building almost everyday. My dad was from NTU too and I got him to take a look at your photo - sure brings back memories for him! It was barren back then, looks really different now. I should take a photo from the same angle soon.
