Anytime Gary but I am sure Wong Sifu knows HK as well as I do.

Do let me know if you go there, I can hook you up with some of my local friends and I can guarantee you that you will go to places where no other tourist has been to!

I am planning to go to Macau for a long week end this year (not for the casinos but for the food and street photo), you would be welcome to tag along. I am not quite sure when though.

I'd be interested Max.
Only had a short time there but was fascinated with the streets!

My first batch of photos from my trip to HK last week. I did not shoot as much as I wanted to...

Here are some shots taken with the Plaubel Makina 67 and Kodak Ektacolor Pro 160. I am having a hard time scanning this film...

More to come, mainly M9 + ZM Biogon 25 & ZM Sonnar 50 and Plaubel Makina + Provia 400X.

Hi Max, what is the problem with scanning? It's very tragic if you say you have such an amazing camera but you couldn't scan it right.

so a guy walks into a leica boutique and asked if they had a 35mm summilux asph v2......

quite the story actually. break down of the highlights
- i was lucky/unlucky (for my wallet) to find a brand spanking new lux v2 at leica boutique ginza yesterday. tax free 470k yen. thought to myself hell no.
- my cc security called me right after i paid (and still in the store) to ask if i was really in tokyo
- only to realize the next morning that there was a rather sizeable spec of dust right in the middle of the lens somewhere between element 3 and 4. went back to the store, swapped for a replacement (which happened to be a preorder for another customer. SORRY).

anyways. heres 2 photos at 1.4. incase anyone is wondering, this lens is dead on, no focus shift. the 1st photo is slightly out of focus because the old man was walking quickly and its hard to focus at 1.4 with a moving target. happily, i prefer the slightly out of focus look for the 1st photo. :)

two more from Golden Mile...

I am just not happy with the colour balance, it is way off. No problem with Provia though so i am fine!

Hi Max, I am interested too, let me know your next shooting trip, whether HK or Macau, both O.K. :D

Yeah Max...HK or Macau...both OK.

Both HK + Macau...OK too!

;p

It seems that there is quite a few people interested in doing a photo trip to HK/Macau so why not do an official overseas RF.SG outing.

I probably won't be able to go there before summer and I don't want to go shoot in HK during July or August, it is way too hot and humid. It would more likely have to be in October or November when the temperature is more manageable and enjoyable.

I don't mind organizing this but we will have to keep it as a relatively small group for convenience sake.

So let's keep that in mind and nudge when comes August/September time!
