Shot at wrong time, light contrast too high.

It's been a while since I last used MF but here are some photos taken in December last year from New Zealand's North Island. Only found time to scan and process them last week.

Shot with a Mamiya 6 with the 50 and 75mm lenses (I have the 150 but I didn't bring it with me).

If you are interested in the details, photos were shot on Ektar 100 and Porta 400, scanned through VueScan on an Epson V700 with Betterscanning film holder and finally processed in Lightroom 4 where I spent a fair bit of energy trying to get the colours the way I wanted them.

Hope you guys like them.

Very nice pictures. Thanks for sharing the workflow.
Why not try slides, I have minimum effort in post processing.

Beautiful pictures. Reminds me that 120 is still the best compromise between quality and portability.

Thanks for the tip I used to shoot slides as well but slides are very unforgiving when it comes to exposure and the Mamiya 6's meter isn't always the most reliable. To make things worse the dynamic range of slides is very narrow and becomes very hard to use in high contrast scenes.

I do have a handheld Sekonic spot meter when I do want to shoot slides but unfortunately my favourite Kodak 100VS is no longer in production so I decided to go with negs instead.

Old lens performs so beautifully! Envy you have two princesses to shoot all the time.
