There's a saying between fashion/commercial photographer, "models are the most insecure creature in the world.". I agree, but when I called for a casting for a beauty campaign job I told the modeling agencies that I do not want the models to have any makeup at all.
During the shoot I asked the model that each one only has 3 frames, so pretend that these are the most important snap shots in their lives, and give me the best expression they can deliver. They can smile, can be angry, can be sad, really any expression they want to do, and these are how they look like. In my industry these is bravery! According to some models this is actually more difficult than shooting nude.

Sim, thanks for sharing. The images you take always have the models giving a very intense deep look... if eyes could talk, your images speak volumes.

Expressive look soo... good, B&W portraits are immortal reps of both the photographer and model...
