Still, that was 15rolls of 120 that I scanned (not every slide of course)... groan...

Yes.. imagine how I felt when I packed up all my scanning equipment only to find out I missed out one roll... and of that one roll only 1 photograph was worth scanning.. GROAN...

This was the last scan.. shot at a couple of seconds with the use of my pocket tripod. Not even a gorillapod, it was one of those free gift micro tripods that you get when you buy a P&S. Haha!
nice!
did you use any ND filters to slow the shutter down?
Thanks!
As for my patience, that's why I only scan my 120s... my 35mm negs I just get the lab to scan them for me.
In general, I find scanning B&W and slides still quite bearable, colour negs are just a big huge pain to colour correct after scanning. I've managed to get the workflow down to such that I can scan and edit the B&Ws simultaneously so it helps to kill time in between scans.

I feel your pain, brother.... What more you guys do this for real...hobbyists like me, scan chop chop so family can quickly download. Respect what you pros do and you don't get the credit that you guys deserve with all the pretenders like us.
enivre - fantastic shots! Have you published any books yet on your photos? If so, I would buy it!
Not for this I don't believe I did. I don't have an appropriate filter holder to fit my filters on to the mamiya's lenses, so when I do I hand hold them. Not the best of ideas really, as such I try not to use them.
This photograph was shot in diffused light, the waterfall was in a small valley of sorts and it was already 4-5pm, so no light was coming directly from the sun.
Stopped down to F22 or F32 (cannot remember exactly) then let the camera do it's thing.
The fantastic thing about shooting with the Mamiya 6 is that it's so light even the micro tripod is stable enough. Try doing that with a Hassey!
Boochap uses the tiniest of chopstick tripods to balance his Hassey![]()
