if i remember correctly, this was a 1-2 second exposure on f11 or f16 and using tmax 100.

mamiya 645 afd on tripod.

it was raining so i camped under a tree for rain to stop. it was worth the torture cos lighting was awesome and balanced. my previous shot below had too much contrast in the sky.

toomuchcontrast.jpg

almost same timing but this time with a Salyut-C on 65mm.

all in all i return here for no less than 10 times to get good lighting.

i also tried with 35mm but the IQ just cannot compare to MF.

oh yea i also did some post-processing to give it a surreal look.

visit my webby at www.bythewei.com for more images on punggol.

hhhahahaha

Even estate sales still cost an arm & leg for 2.8F w Planar lens ...

he must be damn loaded ... buying this 2.8F w planar cost more than a hassy complete system (2nd hand hor) ...

Ah so the holga does a better job at black and white than color :) Great shots, like the vignetting

yeah the holga seems to work better with bnw rather than colour films...:)

2.8F model w Planar lens? gosh u r rich man!

How much u spend on it? :)

singaporean always talk money. some of my photo friend love it... they seems to know the price of every single lens and body in the market, better than CP saleman. i dun have to goggle or ebay to check, just ask them ;ppp

many yrs ago, i attended a indoor studio course, that guy work for CP, used to be a pro. throughout the first lesson, he talked about this and that lens 1k$ or 2k$, and body x body y duonno how many k$... fed up, i walked out of the room and no more photo lesson for me since then.

This is very nice... very seldom I see koi in pond taken decently... this is just perfect.

not perfect yet lahh..

i gonna to do it again with 4x5. .. wanna join me? bring your kids, need their help to feed the fishes while we photo. ;)

See lor, if you're putting so much effort in your shots, an equivalent effort to save will give perfect sense and balance.

A V series body + Newer A12 Back and a 40mm F4 for example, does cost the same as a 2.8F

What does being loaded or rich got to do with his pictures or photography? Your point is?

Nothing to point, just stating facts tht Rolleiflex 2.8F in gd working condition with Planar lens system does cost a leg & an arm to me - a blue collar worker.

Dont need to be sensitive on $$$ issue, well, may be my phrasing isn't correct, pardon my poor england.

Btw, am not critizing his pics, in actual fact, I want to be like him, take great photo shots, however, due to unforeseen circumstances, am unable to.

On the question of $$$, just wanna know how much so that I have lessen the chance of being chopped carrot.

Cheers

Ah, i see. Well, it doesn't take a great camera to make great photographs, i believe you are not limited by gear, but only your own creativity.

Since you are limited by circumstances, get a Rolleicord or the like, its affordable and produce great quality stuff too.

The photographer and not the camera.
The lens and not the camera.
But is it really truthful?
I guess we should not take it to the extreme/purist level.
No matter how good a photographer one is, I don't think one can take really sharp pictures or of a certain kind of bokeh etc...that a Planar lens can give if one uses other inferior lens.
If so, there are lots of fools out there who will fork-out thousands of dollars for "good" camera + lens :)
Show me the money!!!!!!! :):):)
