Nikkornos: Yup, shot it at the Botanic Gardens with the 120mm and a 56mm ext tube I think.

This is at the nice open space at the landing of the residential area, atop the shops at Rochor Centre.

The lady has been living at Rochor for the past 31 years and granny is residing at the old folk's home just below the flats.
Now they would both have to find new lodging due to the incumbent demolishing of Rochor Centre, to make way for a new highway.

Worryingly, Fred Durst comes to mind with his pained proclamation that 'It's my way or the highway!'
I guess in this case it is both the government's way, and the highway.

This is underexposed, had to bring the levels up quite a bit - slides are severely unforgiving.
And to add insult to injury, it is not exactly in focus.
I am still finding it difficult to nail shots with the waistfinder, especially with larger apertures.

Despite its shortcomings, might I draw your attention to the beautiful skyline this place possesses.
That spindly tower back there is a church, that will also be demolished to make way for our new highway. Granny does not approve!

Kudos to the two pictures. Speaks a strong message for the old folks in Singapore.

Also the brutal reality of too rapid a change in Singapore. Rochor Center is definitely a place to shoot.
MF using Hasselblad or Rolleiflex TLR will be able to capture what is fast disappearing.
Or something greatly missed soon.

Bro Scandiacus, I like your pictures. :)

I just wonder how come at highlights it seems to flare up a bit. Did you use a hood?
I have the 124G too, and the old mat too, I don't see the same 'glow' at highlights.

The flare looks a bit suspicious - do you have a chance to check the lens for haze?

Looks like a Hoya Diffuser filter added ?
