I hate Pentacon Six bodies, but I love Pentacon Six lenses.

Join us this weekend? :)

Form a Arsat 30mm 3.5 Club? ;)
Is yours the MC Arsat or the one that has Zodiak in Russian?
The main reason to own a Pentacon Six or Arax CM system.

Haha... Ok.. I will form that group when I have more time ... exam is too close ...

Mine is the Arsat MC version, harder one to get. And I kept changing my gear to avoid the weak Pentacon six body but still unsuccessful... Haha, the lenses are the main reason, especially my 180 Sonnar and Arsat Fisheye. I also have the 120 Biometar which is excellent. But now i'm switching to Hasselblad 2000 system, planning to sell everything except the P6 body and Arsat :) The Hassy F-Distagon CF 30mm costs around 3k plus (USD)

I condemned the Pentacon Six bodies many years ago after trying to fix it a few times.

Hasselblad 2000 back focal plane shuttle is the same setup as the Kiev 88. Actually, Kiev is NOT a Hasselblad copy.
Both Kiev and Hasselblad copied from aerial cameras obtained from downed WWII Nazi Henkels.

I do not see the logic to ditch your P6 for the 2000 series. First of all, they are very pricy (especially when launched in Japan).
You can use your P6 lenses on Hartbleis' new improved CM fixed back (only US$125 on Ebay).
I now mount the 30mm/45mm/50mm on a Hartblei CM/MLU, the 150/180mm on the Arax CM/MLU and a Hartblei spare.
I had some local repair expert to look at them, and they are surprised the built and usage are exactly the same as Hasselblad.

Recession is coming soon. Save some cash.
