Hi, you need a Rolleinar (+1, +2 or +3) for close up.

If Rolleinar is too expensive, you can use a B30 +1 or +2 filter on the top lens.
When in focus, shift the bottom lens up (using tripod) and move the +1 or +2 to the taking lens.

hey.. yeah like nikkornos mentioned, I'm using a Rolleinar 1 close-up kit, which allow up to around 0.6m closeups..

TLRs like the rolleiflex & rolleicord usually have a min focus distance of 1meter

pls forgive me if im a little slow in this, only recently dabble with the rollei
i did some checks on the rolleinars, there is 1, 2, and 3
is it all compatible with both rolleiflex and rolleicord? or are there specifics one?

nikkornos
sorry, but i cant seem to understand the cheaper alternative you were saying

there are 3 different filter sizes for Rolleiflex (rolleicord included I believe), Bay I, II & III..

not sure which fits yours, most prob Bay I or II.. Bay III is for Rolleiflex 2.8 models only I think.

The number on the Rolleinars indicate the power of the closeup, with 3 providing the highest magnification..

hope my explanation makes sense, alot of info is out there to be googled

Rolleinars have parallex correction, so there is worry of cropping off the subject.
Ebay may not offer the Rolleinar at cleap price.
I still have the Rolleinar for 2.8F, but the ones for Rolleicord may be hard to find.

Seng Cheong used to sell the Bay I Hoya close up filter, at close up range of +1 +2 or +3.
The +1 is easier to use, +3 need to get really close, so its not too useful.
I bought the +1 Bay I X2 , for the top and bottom lenses.
But unlike Rolleinar, there is no correction for parallex error, so need to move the camera up by about 1 inch to correct for parallex error.
Otherwise the subject will be cut off.

Here is a Seagull with Hoya +2

A cheap alternative is to use a Bay I adapter to something like a 46mm or 34mm.
Then use a +1 close up 46mm or 34mm for close up.
Because this is bigger, you cannot mount TWO filters at the same time.
So mount the 46mm/34mm +X at the top lens to focus.
Then move the taking lens up by one inch as the viewing lens' view.
Swap the close up lens to the bottom lens then shoot.
This is how I shoot. Troublesome, but the results is great.

For the Rolleiflex, connect the bigger lens to the finder lens, the red point has to be on top.
the smaller lens is attached to the taking lens at the bottom. Parallax is corrected automatically.

(for illustration purpose dot not aligned. Fitted with +3, the +1 set lying in front)

I'm using a pair of Bay I OMAX +2 close up filters for my Yashica Mat 124, parallax correction included. Bought from someone from CS few months back

Mamiya 645 AFDii and Leaf Aptus 22.

I cannot decide if color or BW works better. What do you guys think? Can I also just add that Photobucket really does a lousy job in the colors portion. My original file looks a mile different than the one here.

Refer to my blog for the better quality version.

Yeap I used it to process my Raw files. Nothing else.

I think the problem lies with Photobucket...

reapply appreciated

Thanks for all the kind comments on my Japan pictures. I am in Beijing now...This afternoon in Beijing's Temple of Heaven. 5 panel stitch, H3d-39 with HC 50-110 at 50mm.
