Great set
Love how all the colors turn out

Slight manual calibration on screen.

Silverfast scan is MUCH MUCH better than Epson Scan. Software use is tedious (typically GERMAN.... those who use SAP should know).

KGSTON, what is the immersion media you use? Microcope oil or baby oil or water?

Gundlach 8x10
Gundlach Radar 300mm f/4.5
Fujifilm Super HRT Green Xray Film rated at ASA200
HC-110 1:50 5 Minutes
Epson V700 scanned on glass

Wow 8X10! you pressed on V700 to scan right? You can try scanning using wet method:

baby oil on the emulsion side and pressed down
later film can clean using detergent and water
glass can clean using lighter fluid

Scanning this is not easy. 1.5G right?

Scanned at 2400 DPI the file size is about 1.5gb!

Never press actually, I just lay it on the glass.

Using just the tray (film with holder option) or simply on the glass (film with area), does not give the actual results.

I used baby oil on some 120B&W, get to clean the film and also improved the scanning greatly.
I will try scanning 4X5 using oil to show difference.

KGSton scans using Wet method, You can see the improvement in details.

This is a complete Guide to wet scan. Since you shoot 8X10, its worth the effort:

Greatly increase resolution, and eliminates Newton Ring and dust.
In my profession, we use Immersion for wafer sub micron scans.

let get together to look at the actual slides under a big light box and loupe!

Nothing beats a loupe and a light box. The way it used to be!

Brother, NICE!

How come the lights have no star light? Wide open?

First one wide open, 2nd one was stopped to around f/8 if I remember correctly. It was very dark.

The 75 SA can actually cover 5x7? I tot the image circle is only about 180mm which is a tad bigger than 4x5... Which version did I use billy?

I did not physically measure the IC.
as per specification: Schneider Super angulon 75mm F5.6 ( all 3 versions ) are having IC at 198mm ( not 180mm )
it should noted that IC is measured at F22 , and not wide open.

I have a center filter 3A infront of the lens, and I think, it will reduce the IC a little bit.

5 inches is 25.4 x 7 = 177.8mm
at half frame, the corner should be OK, but if you use full frame 5x7, then the corners will be dark.

I did a simple CAD file to see the coverage.
