A simple tabao from Funan Subway and I ended up coming home with this...

oh! amazing! did you pick one right off ebay with no modifications what so ever? it seems that the people on rangefinder.com are getting quite gaga about the need for them to be realigned because they were lined up for 52.xmm focal lengths instead of the 51.xmm that Ms were..

oh! amazing! did you pick one right off ebay with no modifications what so ever? it seems that the people on rangefinder.com are getting quite gaga about the need for them to be realigned because they were lined up for 52.xmm focal lengths instead of the 51.xmm that Ms were..

Yeah...bought it off evilbay.
I'm not sure if there were any modifcations done. It seems to work well on the M8 and MP based on the postings here.

I'm not aware that the J-3 needs alignment:embrass:

I've also received my CZJ 50f1.5 today...keeping my fingers crossed that it is a geniune copy:sweat::sweat:

Vince congratulations, excited for you! compare your J3 to your CZJ and you'll know almost immediately if its not genuine. If you like you can compare it to mine or docs

My CZJ has a black rim, two screws on foucsing ring and two ears on aperture ring.
But I couldn't see any special coating on lens some blueish/purpleish tint).

Anyway, did some test shots this morning with all my 50mm...(only 5 lah...unlike Dr).
I was hoping for a bright and sunny mroning but it rained...not ideal condition. I did the shoot indoor with shutter speed at 1/15!!

Will see the results this evening.

But I couldn't see any special coating on lens some blueish/purpleish tint).

Sounds right Vince. Clone coating more blueish almost no purple at all

I suggest that you calibrate your monitor or go for a eye check up. Or eat more carrots. I really don't look like him and seriously don't wish to look like him or be like him... :what:

Beware!!! TCC Funan is a poisonous pit!!! Look out for Dr. Poison and funksoulava twin - Thomas. If you see them there... Run before you get tempted!!! Oh our friendly neighbourhood VC guy was there too.

We were just happily talking and comparing Dr's lenses. I just had to ask when I saw him with a collapsible lens... "Is that expensive?"... "What is that"... "Hard to find..." and he answered... "Nope it's not expensive and I got two pieces........"

Darn!!! So my Subway dinner became a lot more expensive than expected. haha!!

Here's a couple of shots of this lens together with a quick bokeh test. Can anyone tell me more abt this lens? Not much info. online. I've tried to collapse it on both M8 and M6. Seems ok. Anyone try this before?

Oh well... so much for keeping money aside for a Hassy MF. :-(

Bokeh.... Will try it again wide-open outdoor. Anyway, this lens and my new Zeiss 35 will be rotating on my M6 with slides. Yeah!

You beat me to it Dave!! I contacted Gommy 6 months ago regarding this lens... I was going to send him an email in the very (very very) near future to do a deal!!!!:cry:

I love chrome collapsible lenses, I just bought a chrome Elmar-M 50/2.8 last week.

Which Zeiss 35 did you get? The Biogon 35/2 or the C-Biogon 35/2.8?
