SGTrekker's Photos from 6D5N Central Vietnam Photography Tour (10-15 Feb 2012)

#2 : Waiting for our model shot at Hoi An while others go shopping for T-shirts.

Marble Head Buddha, with the M9P+Noctilux (thinking): "What this limwhow thinking of?"
Limwhow with the old, run-down IIIf+Elmar 3.5cm (thinking): "What this LowLights thinking of?"
LowLights ahem.. with what else but the usual (looking up at the Almighty One up there): "God, please give me the wisdom to offer the model some good advice."
Kernik with the M6TTL: "I think... let's just enjoy the shade here first with this beautiful young lady in red Ao Dai... that one out there in the yellow Ao Dai is not ready yet..."

Hehe... Chucky1, Lovely lovely candid snap shots of us. We were pretty far from each other.
Nice catch!

This is how the boats look like.

We totally missed this view!
Shucks... lovely scene at Citadel man.

Hehehe... good advertisement for SgTrekker!

I'm a little confused where we are now. Because Group one and Group two had slightly different itinerary - directly opposite each other.
But never fear, Ladies and Gentlemen. We will find our way there.
Here are some river views...

Whow, love your B&Ws! Keep them coming!

Chucky1, many thanks... For some reasons, my shooting with the Red filter made the pictures a little underexposed, and coupled with TriX's intrinsic graininess, the grains became a little more obvious. Some would say they love the grains, but purists would frown upon excessive grain.
For me... I just let them be. Haha..

I like this a lot. It reflect their life style

The friendly people of Gia Hoi Village

After cruising on the Perfume River, we came to this little river-side village.
Our guide Tommy told us that this village was relocated from another older location further.
So far, the people of Central Vietnam have been amazingly friendly and amazing camera-friendly.

For myself and Serene, as we were aiming to do more of Street Photography for this trip, we were richly rewarded.
These people are first class.

Er... People in Gia Hoi. Not people of Gia Hoi.

Childhood Unlimited...
We walked along the main streets and come across many happy, carefree children doing what they should be doing naturally.
6934263457_d3c95c8708_b.jpg

Cycling home
And children cycling back from school.. hmmm... how long have we not seen that already?

This was the last frame on that roll... thus the cut-off...

Gate crashing a picnic at Gia Hoi...

We walked by a river-side out-door kind of eatery for the locals..
LowLights stood at the edge and wondered how he would ever fit into one of these small chairs... LOL...

I spied a group of diners enjoying themselves in the nice soft breeze and I walked up to them, hoping to surprise them.
But instead, they surprised me with their hospitality!
This young man offered me a drink and cheered to me!
6934266289_de0cdaac99_b.jpg

In fact, this man got so enthusiastic, he and his wife happily grabbed each other for a shot.

The Small alley...

ZShutter and I walked into one of the small houses along one side road, both armed with film cameras...
6788392888_87b9768398_b.jpg

and we came to this cute little girl and several of the village children..

Ok. Wave!
6934508343_b78924ddb7_b.jpg

Even when we walked up to them.. they were still happily talking to each other.
That was so nice.. No anxiety against strangers. No hostility.
