Thank you Fable. I was told today Bee-eater might be even faster than CKF when it dives for insect:bigeyes: must try one day :bsmilie: I don't get to see Bee-eater often or too far away.

Hi Ted888, I saw some lovely Bee-eaters at The Garden By the Bay!

Thanks Fable for the info. After I have enough with PRP, I will be there :)

personally i feel that using what gears u have currently is the best.
changing the whole set up doesn't automatically makes u shoot nice photos.
i have friends using 70-200mm and 300mm to shoot birds in flight especially kingfishers and some using 600mm.
i had seen people using fluid head for flight shot too though not common in Singapore.
and also for CKF it can be found in a number of places and i seldom see others using hide to shoot this bird.
an experienced shooter will know what type of lens is suitable for different situations.

+1. I have seen so many different setups when shooting CKF as well.

And Neil (ndwgolf), you don't need a hide to shoot CKF. Just patience and keeping a safe distance away. And always keep your movements small, nice and easy. And wearing some camo clothing helps to break up your form.
