Serene as Housewife

Maybe if u put Serene at home would have made a better impact... saying she's a housewife we would expect to see like her doing some chores or looking after the kids or sitting down to have a meal with her husband and kids... holding some household items and staring into an oven doesn exactly convey housewife.... so if i stay at home and cook maggi mee for lunch am i considered a househusband next time? hahahaha

I used higher ISO as it is indoor shoot without flash and rainy at outside. I think High ISO made my pictures become softer and my camera is also a just A200.

As I mentioned at above, i just bought this lense and not familiar with it yet and still fine-tuning. I didn't blame for A200 but what i mean is A200 is not perfect to handle higher ISO unless so many experience with DSLR.

Actually you would've gotten sharper shots if you shot from F2 onwards.

The A200 can handle up to ISO800 perfectly fine but you have to be very careful when shooting with fast aperture lens since the AF module isn't that refined as on the A700 / 900.

Btw I suppose you shot in 'Vivid' mode with DRO enabled??

Bro, dun waste ur $$ lah... practice with ur A200 1st... it can definitely take great pics, if u dun have the skills even if u use the most ex and advanced body also no use...

Stick to your current body first. Getting a new body won't assure you of great looking shots.

If shooting indoors, mount the hotshoe flash for the AF assist which helps as the A200 lacks the AF lamp. Also do meter the WB before shooting (saves you some time during PP)

Anyway JPEG compression has removed much detail from the shots and you may consider saving at a higher quality JPEG off camera & during postprocessing.

sorry. I think i need to play abit wit my new lense as i agreed oof for some photos. But my camera has also a problem with higer ISO.

It is not the housewife theme and I just named it as housewife because most of pictures were taken with household items.

1. Why on earth are you shooting at ISO 800? 100-200 is all you need for this lighting.
2. You're shooting with a 50mm f/1.4 at f/1.6? Your DOF is so shallow, you need to know what you're doing before you try using that. Try stopping down to f/2.8 or so for now.

Other than that, I really see no "housewife" feel here.

Don't blame your camera body. The issues are not caused by the A200, but by the fact that you don't know what you're doing yet even with the A200. Upgrading won't help that.

Then don't shoot at higher ISO. You definitely did not need to go above even ISO 400 with this. Next, learn how to shoot in RAW, you'll get much better results. When shooting these kind of shots, you can also try to switch DRO to a lower level, or switch it off entirely.

With these shots, the problem is not the camera. It's what was behind the camera.

Mr Programmer, you do not need to use f1.6 for these shots. I use f1.6 only to shoot abstract shots. For such shots and lighting, go for ISO 200 and aperture of f2.8-f5.6. Sure improve. Looks like she is eating a banana for pic 14. I like that photo. Take care of your exposure also. The background of many of the shots are blown. I applaud you for trying.

Looks like you overexposed the skin tone & misfocused for this set of shots.

for me i dont care about the noise level.. u said u using a new lens? so your lens is a AF or MF..? serious i think it not a excuse for saying trying out new lens... your A200 is fine for a good shoot.. train up your skill 1st, even u got a A900 now ar, your shoot is still the same 1...

all your shoots is blur n it mean all off focus... please do shoot more n if can ask anyone around during the shoot for advise.. i believe someone willing to share some advise...
