hmm yup. thanks for the comments. I know many are underexposed cos i don't own a flash yet and to run it at fast enough shutter speed to catch the movement but yet ensure it is bright enough wasn't possible. Is there a way to do so? Would photos 3,4,6 and 9 but considered underexposed? (not very sure how to tell what is just right yet) Thanks!

What were your settings?

Yes, the 4 photos are underexposed. Bump up the ISO so that you have a faster shutter speed. Keep your aperture as wide as possible. If you are using variable aperture lens, I recommend to shoot it with a flash to brighten up subject. HTH :)

ISO 400. F5.6. Shutter speed 1/40. Any much higher ISO will produce noise. My aperture is at its widest already. I guess I'll need to get a flash then. Thanks!

you can always iso 800 or iso 1600. A little noise should not be a problem unless u are planning to print extremely huge photo sizes
