TMC - eh... why suddenly considering D1h? actually not a bad camera mah. just dat u must prepare to buy a couple of spare batts, and the max it can take is 1GB CF. other dan dat, its okie mah. and, a 2.75MP file is waaaaaayyyyyy easier to handle.

i was also considering a D1h. but, i only have a 4GB CF card. so, dat rules it out.

There's an old trick of formatting using FAT16 but larger cluster size to make use of the full 4GB (not sure if it works with d1 family).
