yeap, those floodlight type. very orange and direct. Wash out easily...
yeah thot so..

i share with u my limited experience. in such situations i would rather stop down and let my flash be the main light, and suffer with a (possibly) totally dark background, rather then get a mix flash mix ambient lighting. with these lights, the red channel is always blown and there's no way to save it. but if u stopped down and get the skin tones right (using ur white flash as main light), at least if u're lucky u can still bring the blacks in the background up in PS, if u want to. :)

anyway sometimes it's as little as just one stop down, and u get a REAL big difference in the colour. :)

yeah just something i discovered one day when i was taking group photos on a stage for a wedding. they turned up the lights so bright becos they thot it was good for photos. at first i also thot wah.. shiok, very bright. so i thot can use ambient light, flash for fill in...

and everyone turned out nice and jaundiced! so i tried to stop down but wasn't sure if my flash power enuff (was using LS2) to get them as main, but aiyah try lor, and yeah, beautiful after that. :)

so generally speaking, in heavily coloured lighting, i think it's still best to use flash as main light, unless of course.. u shoot in b/w lar. :bsmilie:
