Guru has it mah..I play with it for a while...not bad..but its a DX lens and I am afraid Nikon will change to bigger sensor! Thats why my reservations in getting it..but $1.9K is a bargain loh

Personally I used my 28-70 tokina on portrait shoot before..not as wide as I want it to be leh..

i'm interested in the 28-70 cos of wat i take most of the time - dats people. i personally believe dat the 28-70 gives the best perspective. 17-55, i find, gives a bit of distortion esp when i go up close and personal.

17-35 vs 17-55? u have to ask espn. he did some testing b4 when we borrowed the lens.

now i not so eyeing at lens, but the d1x body.... :sweat: i've got a pretty decent 35-70/2.8 lens for shooting my kid come dec. :heart:

first need to sell off my d100... :sweat: was actually eyeing at the $2k+ d1x body sitting at prime.

alex - i doubt nikon is moving large sensor anytime in the future. or else they won't be introing DX lenses, just like canon and their EF-s lenses.

alex - i doubt nikon is moving large sensor anytime in the future. or else they won't be introing DX lenses, just like canon and their EF-s lenses.

you dont know about marketing leh..
they will make big bucks if they introduce larger sensor. Imagine those who needs to upgrade to a bigger sensor body and they have DX lens??? definitely need to offload and buy new ones
