honestly speaking the requirements for home & studio is different.
for studio, we want a flat sound so that we can have an accurate representation of the sound when we EQ & mix.
Think of it like y ppl need their monitor screens calibrated for colour.
for home users, they want something sweet, to enhance the bottoms, mids, highs.
so its not a flat frequency response system.
its meant to sweeten up the sound.
thats wat studios would avoid.
for live, we would go for high SPL, yet w/o loosing out on details.
we talk about throw, dispersion of the horns. line array systems.

in studio, we deal with Wav, its shooting in RAW in our cameras
