I'm still set on getting the IS and hands on the IS for myself to get a feel ...

Only thing that worries me is getting a copy that has the err 00 problem .. i know it happens to the 10D ... does it also happen to the 20D / 300D? .. sorry haven't got time to read up much on the issues.. reloading 11 servers without ghosting is no joke :sweat:

Not sure leh....coz I never used the IS before...but there was one time quite some time ago I encountered err 00 also on my 10D, with the non-IS 70-200, everything just lock up and refuse to work. Even after switch on and off. In the end I switch off, disconnect the lens and batts, fix back and turn on and it was ok again.
