Some of my personal notes ...
- Why must companies/boss suddenly be extremely nice, offer nice increment, bonus only when the employee is abt to leave? Must the threat of staff leaving be the only way to make management "wake up"?
- After the contract is "extended", will the staff face the same difficulties/problems/issues ? Will anything improve? Can management be trusted to change? Or will it be hell all over again (just a bit more $).
- The final decision is yours and only you can decide, there's no right or wrong answer.

i agree with eawtan and ab... :bsmilie:
jia lat... like middleman approach...

something like, you should look at your choices 1st, are u sure about getting another job and etc with better working environment and $$ etc? if yes, maybe to hell with ur sucky current environment ba. if no, maybe stick with it for another yr while throwing out your fishing lines in search of a bigger fish? :)

1. Because they're sleeping. Management becomes lax and everyone takes it for granted that we're indispensable.

2. Yes definitely. Kio more sai.

3. Always throw the letter if in doubt.

Colleague tendering on Wednesday.

So no more people left in the lab ... only left 2 of us old birds. Don't ask me to stay back during weekends. I'm not going to either ... :nono:

Just my persoanl view.

No matter where we work, sure bound to face different problems. If the current pay is above 3K , then stay first and meanwhile look for another job with better pay.

Well, the boss just gave me a 20% increment...

i guess end up e decision is still yours,
if u need the $ and dun see any other job opportunities at the moment,
maybe just stay on and endure the hell a yr more...?

I dunnoe about job opportunities... but I'm sure I can find a job elsewhere, but don't know leh... lazy? Sigh.

It depend whether the 20% can make you happer ?

Say if the current earning $5K then 20% will be total salary of $6000. Should stay.

If current earning is $1500 then 20% will be total salary of $1800. If getting a new job of $2000 is not a problem then take the new job loh.

Have u tried Nikon ? Since you are so keen in photography and know them well.

It would I guess. At least it's an increment... near to what I'm looking for in my next job.

But still don't know if it's the right decision.

Since the increment has adjust your salary closer to your expectation salary , then stay, leave only if you got a new job with a higher pay.
