Since when anything above a degree got ROI? I getting it just for the sake of getting it. I didn't even want to get my current degree if I could help it. I just paid AU$15,400 for it because I needed it to get a higher pay, that's all.

Then getting a master might not land you in getting a higher pay lor....
Why waste time and money if you plan to get it for the sake of getting it?
However, if you apply for a job when your competitors is equally experience as you, qualification will come into play...
Thats apply to promotion as well...

I know it will not, but why take chances. Do it when I still can, a masters in the relevant field will get you the pay, but as the market moves towards to fact that degrees are common stuff, masters will take the next level. And as I can still study, I better do it before I get super complacent.

The other factor you got it right, true, I have the same experience or better than others, but based on qualifications, normally, I do lose out to those with masters...

So, I just want more pay, that's about it, that's why I want the cert, without expecting the kind of fringe benefits that comes along with it. I just want to do a cheaaaaaaaaaap cheaaaaaaaaaap masters, I just need the cert, like my degree. Nothing more to it.

So, kakis anybody?
