My 6yr old 17" MAG monitor going to die liaos. So just want to ask you guys on opinion on Samsung LCD monitor. Seems like there is a promotion on that over HERE

Philips also quite good proce, cheapest 19" LCD is about $650.

a 17" Samsung CRT is about $249 and 19" CRT is $400+. Currently i am using a 17", should i just get the 17" Samsung LCD or just upgrade to a bigger monitor like the Samsung 19"? For the price of a Samsung 19" CRT, i can get a Samsung 17" LCD. Any opinions?

the viewable for CRT and LCD is different. I would get the 19" LCD if I'm buying. I ever used a 21" CRT b4 and it was soooooooo shiok! resolution was 1600x1200!!! wow!

If buy 19", just buy there, tell them to take out the box and bring the monitor home. That was how i carry back the 17" monitor. Monitor boxes all big big one, becoz of the foam inserts. So the 19" CRT is a good buy?

yup... definitely a good buy. too bad my table cannot tahan the weight, as my old 17" CRT also like bending it, getting 19" CRT sure break into halves... so i bought 17" LCD back then.
