Good, decently priced and pretty reliable.....but there are better systems out there.

the ew100 series microphones are quite reliable. My school has 7 of the G1s still working till today since 2003. Personally have 1 G2. Quite worth it for its pricing. hung bros at sim lim sq 3 floor should be all right for pricing. These items the pricing is more or less controlled unless its from parallel import.

Senny is in the region of $800. Dun go for the VHF ones as they have reception issues in certain cases. UHF is better most of the time but unfortunately, the price is also higher.

Most Senny G1 & G2 systems are in UHF. seldom see them in VHF range.

G1 and G2 are UHF. The earlier sennheiser models then have VHF to what i noe. 400-500 tough call. There is a VHF audio tech one at 300 odd i think but have not tried it b4. also it does not have the agility of the sennheiser for frequency selection. once in a while hung bros may have g1 selling at around 400 for the bodypack receiver + transmitter + me2/4 lav mic.

Actually what are the differences with the Bands A-E ? Read about it in Sennheiser's website, it's saying that we should use the one different from our country's television band. How to choose which one to get ? I'm from Malaysia, and how to know which one we suppose to get ?

I'm researching on buying this wireless set too ... wish to get it for my applications as below :

- Set up to get feed from PA system in Dinners, halls and etc. I believe I have to get the XLR - 3.5mm jack to plug into the transmitter in the place of the Lav / ME-2 mic. Is this possible to be done ? does the jack comes with the EW112P-G2 set ? or are those jacks readily available in any audio store ?

- Heard there's problems with interference from friends.. they are saying that it's not a reliable option to shoot weddings / events which have no 2nd retake. As they might have interference and dropouts ? Is it really that bad ? any prevention method for this ?

As I normally run and gun, a lone shooter, I don't have the choice of setting up fixed wired inputs from PA system / or for those church weddings with wows going on . Would like to hear from those using it ..

get a Samson H2 Zoom (USD179) from ebay. Record from the speech podium. Much cheaper solution. You shoot with live audio.

If the mixer screws up and mixs the output with audio yr recording is trashed and you have no control and it happens once in a while.
