Senn makes them with variable frequency, all local sets are within the the permited freq range.

All frequencies should have cleared IDA to be sold in Singapore. Its rather strict here, I believe Sennheiser wouldn't sell one that does not has the permit. I have one set and have just choose a frequency that has best quality and least interference. May need to re-tune when used in an environment with lots of transmitting equipment around. My 2-cents.

I personally would get between 600-900. 500 range tends to be used by walkie talkies, low end microphones so the spectrum is a little crowded. There is also sets for 800mhz spectrum available in singapore too. Any sets distributed by Sennheiser Asia for sale in Singapore is IDA approved(not the parallel import or export sets). The G2 series has auto frequency scanning to find frequencies that are not in use during scan. The pilot tone squelch feature also ensures that there is less interference by having the transmitter transmit the pilot tone.
