Selling photos on stock photo sites

I went to register at shutter stock . But they required me to upload a picture of my passport. Is it trustable? and did u all uploaded too?

you can scan or photograph the personal particular page of your passport. send it to them in jpg or pdf format. it is quite common for microstock sites to ask for identity paper.

Thanks for all the replies...
Im aiming for 40D for my next upgrade. Is 50D and 40D but different?

I agree with you, one really needs to have a bigger collection to earn some money. But as soon as you have managed to have 500-1000 images online, you will notice income.
I have personally contributed to 123rf and I'm pretty satisfied with the income there.

All the major microstock websites will require from you to upload photo of your ID.
I submit to 123rf and there you can start uploading images straight after you have uploaded the copy of your ID.
Don't worry, they are not going to misuse it.

I have submitted to 123rf and Dreamstime.
Dreamstime is quite picky, they have allready a lot of picks.
123rf is relatively new so they have accepted images that had been rejected on Dreamstime. And I have actually noticed some sells on 123rf

Dreamstime is picky probably is because they have a large database of images. For 123rf, there is still room for some growth.

Well i am not a very pro photographer but i do like to take scenery shots with my compact camera at times. Lately, my friend saw those sceneric landscapes pictures i took and suggested i could turn them into cash. With that cash, i could then buy a DSLR camera, Nikon D700 which i have aimed for a long time.

Well i ponder on his suggestion for a while but nevertheless i gave it a try and wow, i am now enjoying myself submitting my photo online and earning money at the same time, all in the comfort of my home.

You could also do that by submitting your photos online at the no 1 rated site by CNN,BBC and CJNet. PM me or visit http://vilasta.com/?digicamcash for more information.
