The iShoot IS-ZDYT plate allows Olympus E PL7 and EOS M5 owners to use the LCD for selfies while on a tripod.

Looking at pics of the base, I don't think that would allow the LCD to extend?

You would need a narrow mounting surface so that the LCD can clear, like this:

I think you;re right. The centre groove looks too far away from the edge. Another knob is needed on the shorter grroves to work.

Guys! Brillant!

I am waiting for someone to do a mirror like a teleprompter style. haha!

Jace, that's a brilliant idea! The z bracket can certainly be used as a drop-level support for an ipad mini with a 1/4"-20 nut sugru'ed onto its back. An 8R picture frame minus back held 45 degree with wires or a flarebuster completes the set up.

Have you seen the Glidegear mini prompters? Looks very manageable for a solo shooter setup, they have versions for phone, tablet or laptop.

I recently bought and attached a pop-up JJC lens hood for my a6300 LCD. The shade is 90 degrees though. It would been great if someone do a 45% and coat the inners side w mirror. That would be a great selfie product for a6300.

Business idea anyone?

You can order beamsplitter glass customised to your own dimension here

The Glidegear prompters are quite reasonsably priced. I use a parrot prompter with Teleprompt+ for mobile shots and a 7" USB monitor with Promptdog for static work. Parallax eyeline can be corrected by just 2 meters of space between talent and monitor placed just below the lens. No mirror needed.
