Self-selected photos at photo friend

Photo friend has a terminal that'll let you select the photos you want printed from your CD. I was wondering, do all our photos have to be in the root directory of the CD, or can we create subdirectories and navigate among them using the terminal there?

I always copy the files to the root dir of my CF card. Never tried using separate folders.
