Second Photographer required for Weddings

39 East Images, a photography studio is currently looking for photographers interested in becoming second shooters at weddings. This is a paid, part time position with work falling mainly on weekends and occasionally on weekdays.

2nd Shooters should be confident about their photography as we will not be teaching during the shoots. You should own your own equipment as we will not be providing it.

Scope of work would include helping the main photographer with posed images and table to table shots at dinners.

We are looking to work with these 2nd photographers in the long run and the position may turn full time. Photographers with a distinctive style may be moved to associate positions.

It is preferable that you have a strong command of English.

Thank you so much for everyone who has responded so far. We are currently looking through the portfolios and will be following up on successful applicants.

For anyone else who is interested, we are looking for photographers who are technically competent, which basically requires

1. Excellent control of flash
2. Ability to set correct white balances for the situation rather than trying to rectify problems in photoshop
3. Ability to capture spontaneous moments
4. Ability to shoot in low light with accurate focus

This position will provide a constant stream of work on weekends for the rest of 2007 and into early 2008. This is a paid position.

We are ideally looking for photographers who see a long term partnership/career with the company.
