Hi Sky,
if you are not in a rush, perhaps the Buy and Sell forum here may be a better option. The thing about second hand shops is you will need to be fairly knowledgeable about your stuff before you pop over there.
e.g. some of the items have gone through some heavy servicing and cleaning to affect the lens coating.
Also, second hand shops typically sell their items more expensive than personal buy-sell. So if there is no urgent need, suggest you take a little time to view and test before you buy.

You are trying to save money but you decided to go for an expensive body?
If you dun know how to check or have someone to help you do it, try not to buy 2nd hand.
IMHO, buy/sell section items are not better tan 2nd hand shop. Some user here buy from 2nd hand shop and sell here after using it. Doesn't mean you won't get very "used" items from here or any online sources.

You obviously have a pretty high budget. F5 and F100 are pro grade cameras. 2nd hand prices are about $2400 for F5 and $1500 for F100 depending on condition.
Tell us your budget and what you need in terms of lenses and other equipment. You cant take pictures with just the camera body you know?
2nd hand shops are OK although prices are higher than the Buy&Sell forum here. 2nd hand shops normally give you 3-6 mths warranty on anything they sell you, so you don't have to worry about getting a lemon. Camera Workshop is a good place to start. Check out prices in the forums and the shops, think about it, dream about it for a while before you decide what to buy. Don't forget to check for opinions on specific equipment, lenses, etc here before you part with your hard earned cash.
get a F100? i'd rather get the trusty F80 (think around S$600+ body only?) topped off with a standard zoom lens AF28-80mm from Cathay Photo or MS, Alan Photo.

F100 second hand at least some S$1.2k-1.5 depending on condition.

I love my F80 as well. This is a good sexy body. MB-16 boosts its sex appeal. Only bugger is no mirror pre-fire. I gotta get the F5 if I had really wanted that. Right now, I'd rather spend more money on lens rather on the body.
