Anyone has experience using this? It is CF sized adapter where a SD card can be pluged in & use the combo as CF card.

Where I can buy one (locally) & how much?

Eastgear selling Hagiwara SD to CF Adaptor at $75

SLS, $39.

www.flashcard-bestbuy.com : $32.

I'm quite interested too. With the price of SD being quite close to CF, it might be good to buy SDs and use them in both CF and SD devices.

wonder if it works with firewire CF reader

It is SD-to-CF II by the way so make sure the device you wanna use it on can take it. S$32. works fine on my Canon S45.
How is the speed compare to your original CF on Canon S45 ?

Thanks guys, I'm going shopping this Sat :)

it should work... a reader is still a reader... the diff part is only the transmission from reader to PC ....using firewire instead of usb2/1.1

can you suggest a shop that still sells this adapter.

Anyway, why don't just get a CF card?
Storage cards are getting cheaper and cheaper these days.

I know! Its the only one I can find when I searched google!

anyway, im planning on either to get the D90 or D300. I have a lot of SD cards which I do not want to go to waste. An SD to CF adapter will be very handy for those shots which are not very important.

Haa haa, I am hoping that some company can make a adapter that can put 2 SD card into a CF or CFII card. And it can either give the total of 2 SD card size or most important is to mirror the data in 2 SD card....
At least I need not worried so much about the CF card failure in camera when taking photos.

I found this to be appealing until I found the price of the converter: Each cost $30.

With the prices of SD/CF cards these days, you will probably be able to buy 10-12GB worth of cards for the same price. Furthermore there is a downside risk of incompatibility with cards and a slow transfer speed.

So I concluded it is not worth the effort of buying one of these adapters.

does anyone know where can I get this? have been searching high and low for it....

You can get this SD/SDHC to CF adapter at Memory World Sim Lim Square, $35.

I was able to use it in my NextoCF and Epson P2000 which does not have SDHC support, only SD.

Wah... then you are putting your storage at higher risk of failure. Any 1 card corrupted all your picture gone.

Actually Im looking for one for my 20D. Cant seems to find one at SLS. Cause have quite a number of 1GB SD card lying around at home. Cause able to use that as a back up if my CF card decides to fail on me.

Digging up this old thread to ask where can I get the Photofast CR7200 microSD-to-CF adapter? And how much is it?
