May I know which brand of Class 10 SD Card is fastest in the market? I am using the Canon 60D to shoot video and always get buffer overload problem which stops the video recording immediately.
I am filming a series of short footages with each about 10 to 30sec long.
It's strange that SGCameraStore told me that Sandisk is not as good as Silicon Power (SP). I think that's because they are selling SP brand.
FalconSG>>> Bro, I am using the Silicon Power Class 10 for video. I have no problems until last weekend. Faced the same problems as you. Do not know why. I formated the SD card. And now it works again. Test shoot for 10 mins and no problem.
I was testing my Transcend class 10 SD card and I was getting buffer overruns constantly as well on my Canon 600D. I could have sworn it was fine before when I first bought it. However, one thing I noticed when I was having overruns was that my SD Card was quite full (about 80%). As soon as I formatted it and tested it again, the buffer overrun stopped.
So my guess is that while class 10 works, but it gets slower as it gets filled up. So its probably better to oversize the capacity of your SD cards, correct me if I'm wrong.

Within Class 10, there are different write speed, the common ones sold under "For video usage" are 30Mbps and 45Mbps, these usually work fine in a typical dslr system, but if you hack your dslr for the ultimate detail footage, you need the top of the line ones, running at 95 Mbps, and a hack dslr for video is writing at this speed to the memory card.
And of course the price is way different even for the same capacity.
I think SanDisk makes the fastest SD at the moment (95 Mbps) 64 Gb. SDXC/SDHC, not sure for compact flash though.
