Haha, very astute! So far only a few have feedbacked to me about the contrast. Yeah, just calibrated my screen, so it's kinda disorientating. :bsmilie: Sometimes, I drop the contrast far too much, only to realise that I've ended up with a very flat image. Still trying to find the right blend of contrast though!
I think you can afford to increase quite a bit more contrast! But that's really my preference, sometimes low contrast pictures work well too. Nice shot of Merlion Park btw. :)

Thanks yeah! Well, the increase in dynamic range from my previous camera has been quite dramatic, so it kinda opens up some new options for me. To keep the midtones, or increase contrast? Hahaha, I'm still trying to find the balance between them.

Same issue here but i think you are handling the welcomed increase very well!

Nice angle. Would prefer stronger colours and contrast though, as well as some white balance correction for the Merlion.

A bit too harsh for me, somewhere in between would be perfect.

Haha, you recently switched to a Pentax K5, yeah? The dynamic range of that camera is pretty awesome as well.

Thank you. :) Yes, it was taken during the sunrise.

Thanks Zaren! I like your rendition as well, though I find these days I'm experimenting around with lower-contrast images. :bsmilie:

Lol yea. Must learn how to make good use of it. But can feel the difference from using 5D2. If I do the same saturation, I'd end up with over-saturation which I am uncomfortable with.

Haha yeap, but the increase in native dynamic range sure does help a lot though!

I've been living here all my life and this is actually the first time I shot a sunset from my estate! Guess I need to explore my neighbourhood more often...

It may not be the best vantage point to shoot an urban sunset from, but this is where I live and I just wanted to document it, haha!

#372 is really awesome scintt. great job :)

Agree.. Bravo.. How I wish I could take nice pics like u

The processing for #371 is kinda weird and unlike you.

Lacking in the mid tones I feel.
