Ji Ba Boom is very nice:) Did you use black card technique? Thanks!

Thank you! Nope, I did not use a black card. It was just a simple long exposure. I had to do a vertical panorama to get the left side of the frame into the photo though.

Seascape condensed to its most basic of forms - foreground, sea and sky.

Black card vertical panorama of 5 exposures; 100s for foreground, 30s for sky. Not a HDRI/GND-filtered image. Lee Big Stopper used for still waters.

Jon, somehow I couldn't help but keep noticing that on the left there is still some space for the buildings but on the right the buildings are stacked to the edge. Other than that, the exposure makes the overall picture look rather comforable to my eyes.

Yeah, I know what you mean, this scene seems a tad too right-heavy. I also wanted to include the whole condo (reflection and all) in this vertical panorama, but missed out on it. It would be a much fuller composition I guess. Thanks for the analysis anyway! ;)

great shots of the Gardens! was it crowded today?

see that they open at 5am. is that right? think will try a sunrise tomorrow there!
