How much do you shake your card?
if i shake my card in minimal up-down movements near the horizon, my building above the horizon becomes dark while the part below the horizon is exposed ok.

I try to shake the card with respect to the height of the building in such cases, but there's no fixed method of shaking. It's something you discover as you go along, haha! Quite a lot of trial and error, actually. Most of my shots needs a few attempts to get the exposure that I'm looking for.

Love your pics and the expert use of the black card technique. Were u at Labrador Park over the weekend? May have unknowingly met u. :)

Thanks. :) I went on a weekday, during the high tide.

I figured December/February period would be much better though, the sun will be somewhere at the right. Then I thought about Bishan and totally forgot about this place. Probably because I live much nearer to Bishan and sometimes lazy to get up early. hahaha.

Ah, that would be nice. The buildings would then be pointing towards the sun!

There might be a little too much sky in this, but I really love the cloud movement.

#258 was taken near a fire hydrant? On the small concrete empty space?

The small concrete space with the lifesaving float. The security people patrolling the area will not let us venture downwards. :(

Oh yes it's a life saving float, can't recall it. I have the same photo taken at the exact same angle, so I figured you prolly were at the same location as I was.

looks like he walked up the benjamin sheares bridge, rochor exit

Can't remember the name of the exit, but I know it's the one that leads to the Flyer. Is it the one you mentioned?

Haha, picked this angle since the Flyer wheel doesn't cut into the buildings.

Is this taken today between 8.30 am and 9 am?. I think I might have seen you.

Yeap, indeed it was. I was the guy setting up my tripod extremely close to the surface of the pool!

Good eye & nice pix. Reflection is near perfection I could be fooled that it is due to photoshop if not for the fact that the curved ceiling is of a different tone . I walked past so many times without noticing :p.

Thank you. ;) Yeah, it does look like it was flipped in Photoshop. I never knew the pool would be so still in the morning, haha!
