Maybe it's just me, I seem to like the tree in black and white better.. Colours can be distracting sometimes.

I'm seeing a lot of long exposures with this tree here in CS recently.

The first thing that always comes to mind is, ok, yes, the clouds are nice. But the blurred tree kind of spoils it all. So what's wrong with a short exposure here? :dunno: I'm not sure if you understand what I mean - but a long exposure photograph appeals because there are static elements and there are moving elements - when too much moves, it can spoil the whole mix.

Well, at least there is no bad cloning job done here...

Hi, thanks for your input. Yes, I do understand where you are coming from, but with all due respect, I really like the effect it gives. I know it won't appeal to everybody's taste but at least I benefit from the learning process, especially trying for a properly exposed long exposure shot during the ever-changing lighting conditions of the golden hour. Nevertheless, I do realise that most long exposure shots would look better if the subject is static and the background (clouds, etc.) are blurred. Trust me, if I could find a way to prevent the tree from moving so as to derive a better composition, I would!

As for the location becoming more popular recently, I'm completely clueless about the trend. I just decided to pay this place a visit because of a nature-loving friend's recommendation.
