scenes from orchard road

Hi danny!

I really love your shots. What kinda post processing to you do after taking this shots? (: i really love the color and all.

oh and one more question, have u encountered any situation whereby u have to shoot a really tall person? if so, how do u go about shooting him/her? wont the composition be weird and all. haha.

Thanks, man. I use selective highlights and shadows using channel selections. The colors were not processed for the latest shots I have. The early portraits were processed in lightroom, I adjusted the color tones for some of them appropriately depending on the colors of their eyes or hair or skin or anything that stands out.

Well, if I have to shoot a really tall person, I really can't tell them to kneel down or sit down, I just shoot them as is and make do :)

I think, Danny that you should start to take more street shots with the rain and shadows. I enjoyed them immensely. These street portrait shots are too many now...

i shoot depending on the weather, bro.. if there's rain, i shoot in the rain.. if there's bright sunlight, i shoot for shadows (although i haven't shot like this for a long time), and if there's overcast skies, i shoot portraits. besides, I still haven't reached my goal of shooting 100 strangers.. i'm still at my 64th.

The Street is Everyone's Catwalk
Weekend after weekend, I would walk around Orchard Road until I see a good spot with good light and good people traffic. The wait was hard, but spotting the right subject was easy – they would just so naturally stand out of the crowd and almost demand attention. I imagined myself a paparazzi taking fashion photographs of beautiful people walking nonchalantly in the streets.

Please read more about it here: http://www.dannyst.com/the-street-is-everyones-catwalk/

Hey Ben :) Nah, I don't think most of them are 'clones' just because they're shooting at orchard... but thanks, man :)
