Hi! Am a newbie in photography, happened to chance across ur thread! Love ur st shots!! :)

Oh ya, btw, can I know which aperture u usually shoot at for ur 85mm prime?

It's been a while since I've been out shooting street :) As soon as I got back to the streets, I'm immediately reminded of how hard it is to capture good shots. I was lucky to get this one, capturing her in the light right in the middle of the crowd.

i personally think those lighted faces would have bigger impact if u'd gone in closer although that is not always possible. I am not suggesting using a zoom though(just me).

I hear you :) actually, my first approach that day were all closer shots with strong contrast on their faces due to the light... but after a series of shots, I realized they were just mostly portraits which I already had a lot of, so I decided to step back and include more of the people surrounding them so you'll see the highlighted subject amidst the busy crowd which also emphasizes the darkness around them. Cropping would've been a quick fix, but yeah, I intentionally stepped back on these shots :) That's just me, though.

wooo this thread is totally stunning .. as for street photography , can those people sue the photographer for taking their pics without permission to post at the internet ? maybe this Q already asked .. just curious !!

Thank, bro :) As for your question, you can't be sued as long as the photos were taken in a public location, and the subjects were not captured in a compromising position.

Yup, you're correct =) Most of my recent shots were taken there.

Thanks, bro :) sure thing, just approach me. Actually I take the shots in RAW format, and just convert it to B&W in Lightroom.
