Scanning Service for 4x5"???

Simple question, does anyone do it? I'm happy to accept 900f or v700 scans.

I have friends in Aus with scanners including an Imacon so I'm really after "proof" scans I guess (unless they're good enough for real prints). I'd rather not ship all the film I shoot to Aus if it's no good.

Ideally I want to analog print, but getting a 4x5" enlarger (without a budget) is not going to happen.

Look this person by the name of kgston in CS. He can help you out with it.

So sorry, but I cannot accept large format films at the moment as my drum scanner is down.. I think fotohub does it, but they will charge you an arm and a leg for it :)

Thanks anyway! What scanner do you have? I have an old Optronics Colorgetter sitting in Aus. I'd love to have it here (& the room for it) but it weighs a ton.

I have a scanmate 5000, but the scanner seems to have issues doing auto WB so the colours always end up coming out wonky.. I'm sure it's a hardware issue.. Not sure if it's the light source or PMT tubes..

I am also using V700 for my 4x5 films.

so far so satisfied.
If you are really very particular about things, you can try using the application "VueScan" to work with you V700. Sometimes, the multi-pass and white balance option does help a little bit... at the expense of longer scan time.

good luck
