Scanning Negatives

In my quest for sharpness at an affoardable price, I bought a Contax T2. But was dissapointed when I scanned my negs using Canoscan 5200F.

Anyone has a good neg scanning facility to reccomend ? Most important criteria is sharpness. I do mostly black and white but want the option of digital retouching before printing.

Pricing needs to be resonable too.
