why i say overdone, just to elaborate, these are pushed pretty hard in photomatix from my experience.
it is clear that the strongest light source is from the left, but why are the buildings on the left getting lighted up, unevenly at that?
the water in the foreground, the blue is way too intense, i still can take that, but it is brighter than anything else in the scene, which does not make any logical sense.
such problems with the hierarchy of light are inherent here and there, but i do like central station (though i would like to see it larger, some flaws can be hidden by limited size, i.e. noise, softness) and stadhuset.
i must say, i really dislike the color palette chosen in oslofjord.
perhaps ts chosen a more surrealistic approach to his works? or whatever that word encompasses..
i quite like them though personally i'd still prefer true-to-life colours..
surrealistic or not, the hierarchy of light should not be lost.
surrealism needs to be grounded firmly in reality, else how can we relate to it?
but anwyays, this is just a personal view, i will not post here any longer lest there is more ot.
