SB800 with SB28

Ops.. my bad, but it does have a "remote" setting on the flash right?

Tried to search, can't find any.

Scroll down to the bottom the entire LCD display is shown there. I don't think it can even do normal slave mode.

ok.. So the most economical way to do this is, to use SB28 as my main and the SB800 as the fill light. So I will still need the SC-17 to connect to my camera rite?

Cost of SC17 is about 70 rite?

If your camera can use SB-28 [TTL] ,yes you can use SB-800 as the slave. If not , you'll need to manually configure the setting as what I did on my SB-30 to command its brothers.

SC-17 is needed if you need to use the flash in ways other than on the hotshoe as SC-17 is basically an off-camera cable. You can also use SC-28 or SC-29 as SC-29 iirc can provide AF assist light off camera also.
